Ever since Jerarda can remember, jewelry has captivated and hypnotized her; she considers it a powerful staple of self-expression. In her teens, she improvised and often got lost threading beads and creating symmetrical designs. In later years, she began working with different metals and techniques and her creations gained a unique organic language.
She improvised her first workshop on the rooftop of her parent’s house. Her first collection Metal Melt gained immediate press and attention, and made its first appearance in New York's Fashion Week, Mexico's Fashion Week, London's Graduate Fashion Week, and many magazines such as Elle, Harper's Bazaar, Grazia, Jute Magazine, Nylon, DNA, Cosmopolitan, Solstice Magazine, Glamour, Vulkan, Eluxe Magazine, HUF Magazine, InStyle and more. Her handcrafted pieces are bold, powerful, unique, and mesmerizing.

In 2014, she was nominated for Marie Claire's best jeweler of the year and was part of the top five finalists in Mexico's Design Biennale
#8BND in 2015. In 2017, she was chosen for an exhibit and book: "Retratos de la moda en México" as one of the 30 personalities that influenced the fashion industry in Mexico City.

Jerarda’s work is innovative and she is constantly working with new techniques. She recently opened a new branch for her jewelry in New York city in addition to her Mexico City based workshop.
